But I was going to go to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters!
What we should have learned from the experience of the last 50 years is not that democracy has failed but that voters and their elected representatives have joined forces in a game of rising expectations, immediate gratification, and very little accountability from anyone at any level. - Tom Nichols

"Any attempt to redefine observation as "violence" is not only unconstitutional—it's authoritarian gaslighting. When a government fears cameras more than crimes, it isn't protecting the rule of law. It's protecting itself."
The Trump administration says it's illegal to record videos of ICE. Here's what the law says.
"Violence is anything that threatens them and their safety, so it is doxing them, it's videotaping them where they're at when they're out on operations," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said.

Why don’t we just pluck all the criminals living in countries without extradition treaties like we did Maduro? It’s apparently legal according to the executive branch, and whatever they say goes according to the other two branches of government. Batman did it, too in The Dark Knight.

Hitler wrote in a book that nobody read what he planned on doing, and ultimately did…and we have a President posting his views and plans on social media that nobody appears to be taking seriously. This is a major oversight on history and American intelligence.

Happy New Year!

Trump is rewarding his faithful supporters who have been convicted by trial of their peers of committing crimes against the people he is supposed to be leading and protecting? It is abhorrent. If people like Lauren Boebert can see it, why can’t others?

They are alleged drug boats and/or fishing boats until some evidence is presented that they were, in fact, drug boats used by cartels.

Hegseth and Trump calling them drug boats until they are blue in the face, doesn’t make it so.

Freedom in society isn't "I can do what I want when I want." True freedom involves some semblance of self control and some self-denial, for the sake of the health of society.

Apathy towards our legal system?
The ends justifies the means?
A disregard for human life?

Probably a mixture of all of them explains MAGA policies.

I can relate to this article. Maybe my parents in the 1970s felt similarly as I do now. I mean, inflation was bad in the 70s and interest rates were high. Saving money now is a challenge, even on a low 6-figure salary.
