Mine's an SG, too. I love the thing, but right now it's broken, missing a new nut, strings, and frankly it's just rotting here.

I don't have the resources to fix it, so I kinda wanna part with it so it goes to a better home instead of just rusting on my floor.

I used it since the Developer Preview became available, and as much hate as it got, for good reasons, it was otherwise a much leaner, faster, efficient OS than Windows 7 was.

As a power user/developer who wasn't at all bothered by the Start Screen, I miss it. <3

ah, I miss Windows 8. said no one ever except me, apparently

I think, at this point, it's pretty much guaranteed.

For context, acquiring a Steam Deck where I'm at, the 64GB version, would run me $638.28 USD after conversion at today's exchange (Morningstar).

That's $238.28 USD over the original MSRP. When the average income is literally between $550 to $750 USD a month, that's a bit more than just a luxury.

I appreciate that they're trying to distinguish it from the rest of the bunch. There's too many controllers in the market today that all kinda look the same and are either the Xbox or PlayStation layout.

I hope I get to try it for myself someday, I'd like to see if the pads are comfortable.

I guess so. I mean, I've tried the original Controller and I remember it being polarizing as all hell. Some people swore by it, others thought it was garbage.

I wonder if the new one will be similar - I'd like to try one, see how it feels to use those pads and the triggers at the same time.

I understand controllers require special considerations for ergonomics and I'm sure that's why it's curved where the trackpads are, I just think it looks weird compared to the flatness of the Machine & Deck.

That's just my thoughts, though! Differing opinions are welcome. <3

The barkeep slid a fresh glass of water across the bar's grain. "Leave one here," he said, tapping the bar with his claws. "I'll keep it for you."

The end.

The barkeep pushed the glass closer. "Leave one here," he said, tapping the bar with his claws. "I'll keep it for you." The god met his eyes and whispered a true name, yet not a living one.

The god sighed, his breath hitching. "The city in the forest," he said, "knew me by hundreds of names... I learned them all. I stayed until every name faded into a whisper, then to silence."

"Good names?" the barkeep asked, the clock ticking.

"True names." The god replied.

The barkeep nodded. "Lonely's a regular," he said. "Arrives early, leaves late, tips silently." He filled a glass of water and slid it over to the god, the crystal catching the lamplight on the rim. "That's quite a lot to bear. Let a mortal carry a piece. That's what this place is for."
