lifelong vegan, it was my understanding that because humans (unlike cats) synthesize our own taurine, veg diet has not been found to lead to taurine deficiency. Do you have link to a study? I know smoking and alcohol can impact synthesis and absorption but I thopught veg diet doesn't factor so much
