Genuinely trying to understand, because I've seen discourse about "community" for a long time, do you think e.g. "the music community" or "the anti-war community" are equal bastardizations of the term, as in to mean something like "intelligible as a distinct group"?

Really like The German Ideology and the Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts, but maybe it's just a soft spot because they were some of the first Marx & Engels I read. Ofc The 18th Brumaire. Engels' "The Part Played by Labor in the Transition from Ape to Man" has stuck with me for a long time

I got covid really early in 2020 and had fatigue + similar cardiac symptoms + brain fog. Went through tons of cardiac + pulmonary tests and scans, doctors were confounded. When the vax was available I got it early, and after the second dose my symptoms cleared up. Just anecdata but hopefully helpful

Completely agreed that there's no contradiction. That was actually the finding of research I did for my senior thesis in my undergrad studying gender construction in an online trans community - a proliferation of alternative gender identities that serve to uphold the gender binary
