Regardless of what side of the political aisle you're on, the Jan 6th riot was an insurrection and an attempt to overthrow the government.
You assaulted police officers, broke into and trashed the US Capitol, chanting. "Hang Mike Pence."
Not a peaceful protest in any way, shape, or form.
