I was honoured to join the Speaker's ceremony remembering the millions of Ukrainians who perished in the Holodomor, a man-made genocide.

We remember their stories and recommit ourselves to the simple promise that must guide us always: never again.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Novemberfest this weekend! It was a fantastic event full of good food, beautiful art, and excellent company!

Had a chance to take in WILDCAT this week, and it was smart, heartfelt, and timely given the current theatrics of Alberta politics right now. The last line says it all.

The show runs until November 9, and you must go see it if you can! tickets.workshopwest.org/production/Q...

It’s been a powerful first week back in the Legislature: I’ve heard from teachers, parents, students, and so many Albertans who stand with us as we fight for the future of our province.

The work continues on, and we’re just getting started.

Vaccines save lives.

I got my flu shot to help protect myself and the people around me. It’s a simple choice that makes a real difference.

Danielle Smith is using the notwithstanding clause to protect herself while crushing individuals' Charter rights.

That’s not freedom, that’s cowardice.

And Albertans won’t stand for it.

As I take my seat in Question Period for the first time today, I will be fighting for teachers and students and standing up for public education. /1

One of the largest rallies in Alberta's history.

25,000+ people. One message:
We stand for public education.
October 24, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Forcing teachers back to school without addressing any of their concerns is the biggest abuse of democratic rights in Alberta’s history.

Alberta’s New Democrats stand with teachers and unequivocally condemn this attack on public education, on workers and their unions, and democracy itself. /1

Today, I take my seat in the Legislature for the first time as the MLA for Edmonton-Strathcona and Leader of the Official Opposition.

Representing you in this chamber is an incredible honour of a lifetime and a responsibility that I’m deeply grateful for.

Thank you, Alberta.

Our caucus has spent the summer meeting with Albertans across the province. We've heard your concerns, your hopes, and your vision for our province.

We've got your back.

When we return to the Legislature, we'll be carrying your voices with us as we fight for the better future we all deserve.

As long as you’re in line by 8 p.m., you’ll be allowed to vote — so don’t leave the line!

Thanks to all the election workers and volunteers helping make today possible.

The lines may be long and the process a bit slower than usual, but it’s always worth it to have your say in our democracy.

On behalf of Alberta's New Democrats, I wish all who celebrate a wonderful Diwali! May the light of this season fill your homes with warmth, joy, and new beginnings.

While the circumstances that bring us together like this aren’t ideal, I am continually blown away by how amazing Alberta’s teachers are. Their commitment and care is awe-inspiring.

Thank you for all you do for our kids! #WeStandWithTeachers

Teachers are still on strike. Parents are struggling. Kids are caught up in the middle.

Tonight, Amanda and I are sitting down to talk about the impact of this strike on Albertan families across the province.

Teachers show up for Alberta's kids every single day.
Today, on World Teacher's Day, we showed up for them. ❤️

My colleagues and I had an excellent visit to Alberta’s Industrial Heartland this week!

From energy innovation to the country's most advanced carbon sequestration hub, this region, along with the tens of thousands of Albertans working here, is setting the standard for Canada’s future.

Parents are worried. Students are falling through the cracks.

The UCP caused this crisis, and they’re refusing to fix it.

We won't let up until they do.
October 2, 2025 at 9:36 PM
As of today, Alberta officially has the lowest minimum wage in Canada. It hasn't increased since 2018, and that is unacceptable.

The UCP's refusal to act has left too many Albertans struggling to make ends meet for too long.

We need to raise the minimum wage and index it to inflation. Now.

The news that Imperial Oil is closing its Calgary office and cutting jobs is a significant blow to Calgary's and Alberta's economies.

We need a Premier who keeps Alberta’s investment market competitive, instead of chasing separatism.
