Because no matter how separate you feel you all are, if the system is treating someone as a trusted friend one day and then being hostile to them the next, then that person is going to (rightly) feel betrayed. It's your job as a system to work toward at least enough unity to function socially

This might seem deeply unfair when you're early on in system discovery and may not be able to communicate or even remember what other alters have done, but that's why getting therapeutic help is so important. Learning to communicate and negotiate between the different parts of yourself is critical
