I actually too my driving test in 1969 in Quincy, Ma in my Dad's caddie limo, looked just like this car.
The DMV told me I did not have to parallel park and actually yelled at my father in the back, saying "What the hell were you thinking!?"

I believe this was first put in print by Las Vegas columnist/journalist Tom Blair, and recently too, like 1992. It may be old-style like Twain, but it's definitely not him.
