there's not much to do when she's home .... so some of the volunteers put together supplies for an art kit, and now she can craft at home!
As mentioned - the price of housing is so high, and many folks live paycheck to paycheck, and still can't afford housing AND food, let alone and 'extras!'

Several of our churches offer meals throughout the week for our houseless neighbors (open to anyone) ... this morning a friend invited me to help at an art/ craft time following Wed breakfast.
She told me one of the women participating is now in shelter (room in an old motel) and had commented 1/

And the tragedy of the Coast Guard losing (to federal greed) their Search & Rescue helicopter!
