K Lavransdotter was not my fav either! 😆 The great Russian authors asked all the big why questions so that stuff is not just filler! It is so rich and beautiful. Right now rereading B Karamazov with a friend, and this time understand so much more. It’s exquisite! Anyway, happy discussing!!

That sounds like fun! 😆 I’m definitely with you in camp ’I love it!’ Great that you can disagree in such a healthy way! Is she turned off Dostoyevsky? Brothers Karamazov might be more to her taste. Then of course Tolstoy. Anna Karenina is so good in such a different way.
