Great find! It’s pretty dense in terms of theory but a rare example of scholarship that focuses on women’s queer experience of WWI (which is also the subject of my dissertation!).

Have you read Disturbing Practices by Laura Doan? It’s a really interesting investigation into conceptualising women’s queer experience during WWI and the assumptions we bring to the past due to our own conceptions of modern sexual identity. Recommended.

I recently went to a restaurant in Castlemaine called Bar Midland and I must congratulate them a pumpkin-free vegetarian set menu. Instead: battered parsnip, bunya nut lavosh, stinging nettle agnolotti with stracciatella, mushroom pithivier with allium jus. Commendable!
