Has he played Kingdom Come: Deliverance? It’s a medieval rpg (I think violent) so maybe not a thing I should recommend but seems like he’d be into it. Very on sale on steam right now so thinking of getting it myself!

I very much thank you for this thread because I’ve never found a hotel in Montreal I loved and this looks incredible (and yes, sorry, I’ve walked by this beast many times without considering it)

This performance as a 22 year old rookie, my god. At that age I was drinking amaretto sours and listening to A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out on repeat. I worked at the Ex that summer.

Omg I so relate! Just came back from a trip to London and Edinburgh and I saw them at both the British Museum and the National Museum of Scotland. I loved them more than expected? The facial expressions are incredible. The top right was my favourite (in Edinburgh) but the king is amazing too

Not weird, to me at least, that was the first song that came to mind

The last time I got a massage, the RMT gave me a scalp rub which was lovely and the entire time I was thinking, how did an entire species get a supposedly superior species to do this all the time FOR FREE

Walked esplanade today from the market to the distillery and back. Should have taken a picture. Way more bikes to cars (5:1 at least), two little girls learning how to rollerblade. I have no idea why anyone would think more cars would be preferable.

Ohhh you weren’t invited 😬

I have the same problem. Best I’ve found is Vionic, though they aren’t super fashionable.

I regret not taking that chance. I knew he was good, but didn’t appreciate how good until now.

Didn’t get to see the Conversion when I was in Rome (next time), but was blown away by the two in S Maria del Popolo. Way more impressive in person, especially in a church!

Everything about him impresses me, a very lapsed Catholic. Sharing this for other Francis/Caravaggio freaks www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
A Closer Look at Pope Francis’ Favorite Painting (Gift Article)
Caravaggio was an artist of rare directness, whose naturalistic pictures brought the heavens down to earth. Our critic Jason Farago shows you what Francis may have seen in them.

You somehow made the B-52s and the Talking Heads which is pretty impressive. Also hot dogs.

Thanks for sharing! Considered myself punk/ska adjacent in HS, moved to Toronto at 18, lived on Baldwin (east of Spadina from about 05-08) and sadly never heard of these guys. I would have been obsessed. But Propagandhi/Weakerthans were a significant reason for my move to Canada and that was smart

It’s a beautiful thing to see after many dark days. Atheist now but was raised Catholic and moved to Episcopalian when I was a middle schooler. Light years away from what I was used to and a breath of fresh air. Glad to see they are keeping it up.

Vacation unfortunately! Went to Riva del Garda, Malcesine and Limone sul Garda. 2 pics are Riva and the 3rd from the top of Malcesine’s fortress (Riva in the distance). Limone is a lemon themed town, they grow some of the most northern citrus in the world. V easy to get around by ferry too.
