Enforced disappearances have become daily routine in Makran, with students, ordinary people, & teachers being abducted & disappeared leaving their families traumatized. A recent case is that of Hassan Baloch, who was abducted by law enforcement agencies from his Karachi residence on Feb 5, 2025.

The genocidal forces of Pakistan continue to oppress, abduct, and intimidate the Baloch people. The decades-long oppression is escalating daily, including door-to-door search operations in civilian residences, during which women, children, and innocent Baloch individuals are terrorized and tortured.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) is organizing a series of protests under the theme “Breaking the Silence: Standing Against Enforced Disappearances” in response to the growing incidence of enforced disappearances of the Baloch people, particularly targeting students.

BYC has started a health campaign in the flood hit region of Naseerabad, Balochistan. The campaign would set up medical camps in remote areas-towns and villages to provide much needed health facilities to the marginalized Baloch. Yesterday, a medical camp set up in Chatthar and today in Jhal Magsi.
