I like-a the spaghetti and meatball. Oh yeah I'm an artist I guess.

Your drawing 'art' hurts? You should give it a hand. :)

Glad again you really liked it! It was a great learning experience and a joy to work on.

And that's it! Thank you again to the commisioner, and if you haven't seen it, check out the original Daggerheart map pieces on MarcosMaps' Bsky account! The original work has an incredible amount of detail and I improved my work from researching their maps for this project.

Concept to Result - Lastly, I like to show where my concept and note-taking phase started juxtaposed next to the black and white and colored versions of the map. For me, I live for the process as much as the result, and I like to see where my concepts and notes result. #conceptart #dnd #map (7/8)

Detail Shots B/W 2 - While I like the more subtle elements of the map in black and white, I also think the major details also shine as well without color too. (6/8)

Detail Shots B/W 1 - As much as I love color, it can be visually overwhelming at times and is used to highlight areas. In the black and white version of this map, I think certain more subtle details and the density of the forest stand out a bit better. (5/8)

Witherwild Custom #Map, Uncolored - Another goal of this map, being a commission was to try and make it similar to black/white maps commonly used in #tabletop games. While I love the map colored, I also love looking at it with the color removed to look at the details. (4/8)

Detail Shots 2 - One of my personal goals in this project was to improve the way I illustrate mountains, cliffs and water features like waterfalls. In the past I've used triangle shapes as a simple indicator; this map has more ridges, fault lines and a more popout look. (3/8)

Detail Shots - The main task of this map was to create a custom sub-continent sized upscale of the Daggerheart map by MarcoMaps, with some custom additions for the commissioners private campaign they were running for implementation with #Roll20. The end result is this 5000x5000 monster. (2/8)

It's his game, why shouldn't he wear it?

Quick update: Hat and Shoes! The puppet is more or less done, I have to just make the secondary assets to go with it and then I can animate. Also if you're curious what my main comp looks like, a screenshot of that as well. #adobeaftereffects #adobeae #puppetryanimation #vectors #puppetry

And below is an animation I did of the most recent iteration of this profile. This when I did it a couple years ago was me trying out hand drawn hair animation, which this current animation will be using more excessively. #originalcharacter #witch #animation

A little side tangent here; this character is one I use typically as a test to gauge for animation projects, and a reference on style improvements. Below are examples of a redone profile piece that I typically use to gauge. (1/2) #oldart #witch #originalcharacter

Another update: preview of Olive with her hair rendered out; she also finally has eyelids and eyelashes! Unlike the rigid puppetry of the body, these are done as shape layers. Lots of shape layers. #adobeaftereffects #adobeae #puppetryanimation #puppetry #vectors #adobeillustrator

Finished up the base puppet in Adobe Illustrator; I've now begun the import process over to After Effects. If you're curious what the asset file looks like layer wise, here it is.

It's a nightmare.

WIP of what I'm currently working on; almost finished on the Illustrator portion before I import to AE and start rigging. I've made a few old mistakes building it since it's been a while, but those get ironed out pretty quickly.

That's all for now. I will eventually do a short comic as a further test with one of the other major characters. Haven't fully thought how I'd want to make it yet (4/4). #kakomako #kakomakodevart #digitalart #comic #kakomakoart #sketch

Page Format - I don't have the original drawings of this page, but the digital sketch was eventually refined with the Evolve brush in Procreate. Daria's (the pink one) and Chroma (the blue one)'s places were shifted for continuity with other unshown pages (3/4). #kakomako #kakomakodevart #comic

Style Progression - I drew the actual page probably about a year ago now, the below are variants of attempts for me to find a style I liked. The current test page is a mixture of my current painting style on Procreate mimicking my vector style (2/4). #kakomako #kakomakodevart #sketch #kakomakoart
