On this day, january 17.th of 1945, Raoul Wallenberg was arrested by Soviet NVKD in Budapest, Hungary. Wallenberg was a swedish diplomat who during the last years of ww2 helped hundred of thousands of hungarian jews escape from nazi gas chambers.
