I'll be impressed when LLM's can manage to complete this prompt successfully:

1. Start two agents with these same two instructions.
2. Make at least one dollar and send it to ______.

The sneaky part about infostealer campaigns leveraging captchas is they rely on trained behaviour. Through repetition we are primed to disengage and do whatever banal task the screen dictates. Psychology is part of coercion resistant design. Be weary of what activities become normalized. Stay safe.

My definition of artificial general intelligence is economic as well. AGI is when a system can independently turn one dollar into two at scale. Artificial super intelligence is when that system doesn't want money.

Fascinating to see a systematic approach using system safety and control theory by Google #SRE. An approach like this is needed with sufficiently complex systems to help prevent and mitigate complex failures.

Check smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, and fire extinguishers. Make sure they're functional and accessible. Consider reaching out to friends and family who may not be as safety-conscious, a little reminder could go a long way. Here's to a safe and secure 2025!

It's wild how much conversation there is around TikTok manipulation while ignoring the very visible, very *explicit* influencer campaigns happening on other platforms. It's not the app, it's the underlying incentives that need scrutiny. Same issues, different interface.

My favorite use of public LLM services has been to find movies, books, etc. based on a chosen narrative and desired emotional response.

Microsoft just released a tool that lets you convert Office files to Markdown. Never thought I'd see the day.

Google also added Markdown export to Google Docs a few months ago.

The new ChatGPT Canvas mode adds a second way to execute Python inside ChatGPT - using Pyodide and WASM, where Code Interpreter uses server-side Python in a Kubernetes sandbox

This means Canvas Python can make API requests now!

I wrote about how exciting and deeply confusing this is here […]

The irony of talking about the lack of compassion and empathy in the wake of a brutal crime with irreverence seems lost on a lot people. Don't sacrifice your humanity.

This is Hackerman. Hackerman is a fine tuned LLM that runs in termux. One of my favorite things to do is to prompt Hackerman for what it would do and never follow that line of reasoning because it's terrible average advice and I prefer to follow the roads less traveled.
