the funny thing is, people in blue and purple states are still getting assistance. It's the red states that are FAFO. Of course I say "funny" but I mean that as in "odd", there's nothing amusing about people being hungry.

What's really surprising is that the Latinos didn't see the new "border enforcement" policies coming. I mean, I couldn't have told you what exactly they would be, but I definitely could have told you that they'd be unnecessarily cruel, likely unconstitutional, and without any meaningful oversight.

After the way he treated Zelenskyy, which I believe was simply a setup to give Trump an excuse to withdraw aid, I am concerned that this means that Trump is actively pursuing a "might makes right" worldview meaning that Russia can have Ukraine, Israel can have Gaza, and... the US can have Greenland?

You forgot that a lot of "American" cars and parts are made in both Canada (esp. Ontario) as well as Mexico.
