I am me
She is an MP for a Northern Constituency, it's a kick in the teeth to her working class voters to see her buying property on the south coast. Whether a Tory has more property is irrelevant. She is supposed to be a Labour politician, but then she is just showing again that Labour are now just Tories.

The US is in the middle of its slide to being the United Nazi States of America.

Does nobody in America notice his limited language abilities? Honestly he speaks like a child, it is a rather strong clue to his limited intelligence.

The problem in regaining Scottish independence is that the legal aspect of constitutional matters is held with the UK parliament and government.

We need a change at Westminster to give us that right to choose.

I have a petition for it: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...
Petition: Introduce statutory provision for independence referendums in Scotland & Wales.
It has been stated that the UK is a voluntary union. If this is democratically the case I think there should be a legal mechanism for any part of the union to decide whether or not to leave that union...

The reform party seems to be the UK version of the MAGA lot in the states, politics has very little to do with it, therefore political controversy likely won't affect them.

Thanks for that, I'm not sure why it took a general link rather than the specific one, that's not very helpful, I took the link from the petition page.

I hope many more can sign it.

I have two daughters who have been and are in secondary education. I cannot say they have experienced what has been described.

I'm not 100% sure how it all works, but my discover feed is mainly Scottish with some American stuff, thankfully no veganism. 🤭

Well, thanks to the option of specific feeds, you can look to whatever area of comment is out there at your leisure.👍

No There is nothing that can be done in the Scottish Parliament concerning those types of drugs as the legislative competance on drugs is reserved to Westminster. It would require a specific change in the UK drug laws, to allow them to be available to use as part of an assisted dying law in Scotland
December 3, 2024 at 2:53 PM
In what way is the Scottish Government or the National Newspaper responsible for the claimed rise?
December 3, 2024 at 2:49 PM
The issue is that the drugs required to take forward an assisted dying situation fall under the reserved laws of the UK Parliament. That is why they are saying that the bill would therefore be outside of the legislative competence of the Scottish Parliament.

I have no union sympathies.

All that is relevant is whether they live in Scotland, if they are pro union, then that is there choice. We just need to convince them that independence is the better way.

Someone has to explain to me where the RUK support is coming from when the Tory vote seems broadly the same as always.
