The Pyxis of Pandemonium hails from the Magic the Gathering plane of Theros. A plane which draws heavy influence from Greek Myth.
The pyxis in fact is a parallel to Pandora’s box.

Back at it again with some MTG art I feel is under appreciated. Valgavoth's Faithful by Jodie Muir. Unfortunately there isn't a larger resolution of this available to really dig into the details but I do enjoy the ones I can make out, the spiral of moths; the tattered, moth eaten robe. Beautiful

Love me some Stingerback Terror. The Scorpion Dragons were probably my favorite aesthetic from Outlaws of Thunder Junction. Hope we get to see more of them someday.

I love that wizards said they were gonna focus on standard and then everytime I check in there’s one deck that 40%+ of people are playing and everyone else is trying to counter that deck.

During the Magiccon Chicago reveal this card art was credited as Gorodoro, loyal lieutetenant. According to the full release gallery this is actually an alt art for Tannuk steadfast second. While the colors hint at a green red hybrid this is a mono-red creature. Tannuk’s other card is g/r tho.
