I’ve been very organised this month. The September show that goes up next Sunday, is already recorded and road tested. Sounding good.

Just uploading the #EBM mix to MixCloud for release tomorrow. As mentioned in the last episode, I did this after getting my first CDJs. It basic, but man, there are some awesome tunes included 💪🎵

A week or two later than planned, but new episode recorded and knitted together. Now need to road test it before sharing with the world (which will hopefully be Sunday).

A bit of a tease for the next trio, coming up in Sundays show. If anyone fancies taking a punt at the subject of the trio, feel free to have a guess.

This coming weekends show is recorded. Friend of the show Steve Reynolds suggested a new band to me recently. They are damn good. Gonna be playing something from this Makeshift Art Bar release 💪

Final run through of the show that goes up tomorrow. Sounding good. If you’ve not guessed already, we’re taking another look at cover versions. Plenty of different styles in the show (including that previously mentioned harp)

Still keeping well ahead of recording schedule, as January is a busy month outside of radio land. The spine of episode 44 (a themed show) pretty much done. This track will be included. Also a big clue on the theme of the episode 😉

Welcome to 2025 everyone. On 28th March 2024, I nervously started this weekly radio show. Spurred on by the death of a friend and the realisation that music knowledge and memories are just small electrical charges in our brains that we lose when we pass.

Sometimes, when times are tough, sitting down to listen to random film score music is the only thing that works. @cinemixradio.bsky.social is a much under appreciated gem I listen to almost daily 🙏

January is always a busy month, so trying to get ahead of things with planning the spine of some future shows. Currently jotting down a few ideas for episode 43. The opening is going to be strong… #boomtownrats

Next weeks show is already recorded. I’ve been spinning this Cate Brooks album a lot (I may even like it more than Cate’s work in the mighty Advisory Circle), so it seems only right to include a track. Episode 39 goes up on Sunday 29th December.

Speaking to a friend, the consensus is that I should do more the promote my hobby (weekly radio show). This being the case, I will use Bluesky to post about new episodes and general music related things
