Used mine a few weeks ago on my Airhead. Even with electronic ignition you should check it every now and then.

Way back when I was working on my Private, on the first stop for my cross-country, more Hueys than I had ever seen landed at the small airport in Ohio while I was getting my log signed.

Several years ago I had the same experience. Told the guard I just wanted to check out the roads. He was obviously not a motorcyclist.
