Thanks for putting together this thread- really fascinating! I recently learned about a freshwater crab that also makes its home in the forum and Colosseum area, believed to be ancient inhabitants from back when the area was a marsh.

I’d recommend learning Fair Isle colorwork for this since the color change per row would happen frequently and since there are two main colors.

With Fair Isle you basically move the active color forward and leave the passive color on the back of the work, so you don’t have to start and stop.

The glow from the windows on the cobblestones is really beautiful!

80% Audiobook, 10% eBook, 10% Tangible. I keep reference books that I return to often as eBooks or physical copies, but mostly listen to books as I like doing other things at the same time- sewing, commuting, chores, etc.
