Amy K, I’m exhausted too—& depressed. At age 66, I protested for the first time a few weeks ago. I signed up with two groups to be notified of protests. I commiserate with a handful of friends. My daughter wants to leave the country. It’s hard to be energized when everyday is bad news & more chaos.

I’m a blue dot in the most conservative county in SC. Age 66–and I just participated in my first protest a few weeks ago. It won’t be the last.

Both of my parents sewed. Dad did upholstery. He also made goofy hats & clothes for my Barbie dolls. Mom briefly worked in a sewing factory & made clothes for herself and for me. I’m no great seamstress, but knowing how to sew has really been a blessing. Nice to see people teaching life skills!

But if he dies before finishing his term, Vance will be president. The Project 2025 group and all the sycophants willing to sell out their country for money and power will still be there. I just hope, in the end, Karma proves to be real.

Sometimes the broken pieces make a better picture when they are reassembled. I’ve had many heartbreaks and losses, but things do heal and get better over time, and later on we see why things needed to happen the way they did.

I took care of my in-laws, cleared out their home when they died. Got divorced. Took care of my parents. Cleared their house. Went through the pandemic, had Covid, moved twice, was diagnosed with a heart issue…and everyday there’s more chaos. I am feeling so depleted. Enough already!

So true. I’m depressed and anxious over the state of our country. So many, even my friends and family, have been brainwashed by Fox and crazy internet videos. It breaks my heart, truly. Our country is in real danger.

I do this! I’m 66, & when I was a child and slept over at my friend’s house, she slept with her arm straight up in the air. I thought it was weird and funny, but I tried it and found it calming. In the years that have passed, I only do it occasionally, but I always think of my friend when I do it.

He treats the country the way narcissists treat their life partners…using threats, gaslighting and intimidation. And he treats our long time allies the same way. Such an abusive spoiled brat! He has no idea how anything works.

I’m in Anderson, SC and am told our county is the most conservative one in SC (which is a very red state). It was great being a part of a Hands Off gathering today.

My daughter actually just called me this morning to talk to me about making our “exit plans.” The majority of her friends have some kind of plan in place, and my daughter and her family have already lived in three other countries in the last few years to see if they liked living there.
