Sadly, there's a near zero chance the Epstein files ever get released. Likely many high ranking Dems and Reps (and donors) in there. All those in power want them hidden.

We all must stop voting for any Dem. The argument "but the Republicans are worse" is meaningless when you end up agreeing with everything they want. Then a new party (with a real backbone) can emerge. They'll only stop being traitors once they believe they'll lose their jobs for being traitors.

Unfortunately, it looks like they're going to give up and cave in to Trump with this insane "compromise" proposal. There will be no Republican concession. Dems will be blamed, and 40 days of shutdown (and hurt for many) will be for naught. Dems are their own worst enemy. Schumer needs to go

Except that Sen Schumer is going to screw us all by proposing an empty "compromise" that will make 40 days of govt shutdown meaningless, and something to blame on Democrats.

Remember, on Jan 6, the initial Republican line was "they're all liberals masquerading as Trump supporters". At least at that point in time they were acknowledging it was a riot. Then the rioters became "tourists", and eventually "victims". Let's hope this guy doesn't get a Trump pardon.

Unfortunately, they won't. Absolute career killer in an all volunteer force. Could also have GI Bill impacts. Only possible if they already want to get out. And I am assuming they have been threatened with worse punishment. Don't forget, a lot of them are just 18 year old kids.
