Indeed. That's a big part of the problem- USA is a very wealthy country, which could afford decent living standards for all its citizens, but it is a total fail on that: it chooses a system which promotes, and even glorifies, enormous wealth inequality.

Yes, and that's why USA ranks low on the table of happiest countries, despite being the wealthiest. You'd think they'd get it....but it doesn't seem likely. 🙄

Yes they would. And they should now, when Trump says it. If not, what are they for? If the Republican Party wants voter respect, and any credibility, they, every one of them, need to state very clearly where they stand on this- and not stay silent.

Maybe, but there's no way he'd have done that. No decent person would. It requires a level of crass ignorance, stupidity, vulgarity and insensitivity which only Trump has.

It's hard to say. There have already been countless things that would have terminated any "normal" political career, and another piece of crass idiocy is hardly noticed. Maybe it has to be economics that finishes him: roaring inflation, job losses, empty shelves, etc?

I doubt he has the attention span. It takes about half an hour to read. He'd lose interest after about a minute maximum.

No, but it now has a de facto dictator, and unless the Democrats manage to enlist the cooperation of a few responsible Republicans, pdq, to enforce some sanity, this shitshow will not be recoverable.
