But I absolutely agree that the hair selection sucks when it comes to anything curlier than a 2b.

He explicitly said that he doesn't care about personal visual mods like that. It's the ones that let people wear AND show off paid and/or hard-to-get gear that are the issue (and people tagging their NSFW mods with the game tag, since that could get the game censored)

We don't know if that was the reason, the dev has never given any specifics. Reading YoshiP's statement, my current belief is that number crunchers at SE were worried that Mare both allowing a player to wear paid gear they hadn't bought AND show it off to others could cut into Mogstation profits.
