We're all antifascists now. Jane Austen Society of North America. 📖 Know some Beatles' stuff and am picky about citations. therealtamishow.com
My friend brought me a bag of coins two Tuesdays ago and I can't stop. Coins were always hard—two-sided is hard, period, with wire wraps—but this works. And I like making them. 😊

This stone looks radioactive and I love it.

It went from 3 pages of this to 1 page of reruns. And probably, about the women, but a big part of it is probably because we were never really part of the adoration fan club. For me, I LOVED Tune In, but I am a citation miner. I want the primary sources more than anything. And so I found out.

Been busy and productive and not making much jewelry, but I love this freakish beauty.

Also, hi everyone.

Reading the complaint it really struck me how many women without power will be safer and less likely to suffer trauma because of one person raising hell in the eye of a hurricane specifically manufactured to discredit her. And how true that always is hit me in a new way.

I'm reading the Blake Lively complaint and it's just describing repeated instances of sexual assault, followed by gaslighting. Textbook. (I know there's worse coming bc I've seen it posted but this counts, too.)

His instinctive defense when confronted is pure Trump: “I'm not even attracted to you.”

I got cat's eye chrysoberyl sticks to make talisman pendants and this shit is wild. I'd never seen the stone in person and I am absolutely mesmerized. Worth the torture of the wait.

Not according to Eric Adams. He basically said it was to 1) look luigi in the eye 2) make CEOs feel better because their mental health is suffering. No, I'm serious. Just a stupid, bad PR move.

NYT says the Air Force recently denied Musk “a high-level security access” too, besides the three investigations.

I started with a few 🐿️crowding around, and it was wild how two seemed like total idiots up close and if Gurl wouldn't have somehow become queen I would've had problems, but they deferred to her. She's as smart as a little terrier. Look on YouTube, it helped me learn a few tricks that helped.

This old shaky thing I used my kindle to film was about day 3 of her getting in. (4 yrs ago, I think?) Once she realized she could break the containment of the screen it was over, but she became polite very fast. Although last year I found a nut at the bottom of my clothes hamper. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯︎

What is going on, @support.bsky.team? 🤔

They train easily once they make friends. I have a mama squirrel who is now very bold. I am three floors up but once she got used to coming inside for food it was over. It only took a few days to keep her completely polite inside. But she's very smart.

Happy 249th birthday to Jane Austen. 🎂

“We have now another girl, a present plaything for her sister Cassy and a future companion.”

In a week or ten days—fingers crossed—everything will be on sale, including this pendant I just made with scrap metal.

A few years ago when I decided that playing dead was necessary to escape my ex-husband I never thought of learning some brand new thing, and certainly didn't see myself as an artist of any kind. But I am. Turns out I wasn't particularly bad at art, but only that I'd never tried.

I made my first cabochon. (The "stone.") This changes EVERYTHING.

I love my clasps. They're the first thing that feels completely unique that I've made. They've developed into their own thing, and are also really functional. They're easy to close but stay closed. I'm sorta proud of myself for teaching myself. I never knew I was an artist. Just a musician.

@theonion.com really does rock. And is lovely in ways I don't expect anymore.
I got skipped on the first issue and have no rights by $$ to expect to ever see it. And I said so, but did beg mercy. And got it.

It took awhile for me to realize that I would have to write about him. For decades he faded into the background of history & was just mine. But in the past 15 or so yrs I've seen the newest incarnation, & in some ways it's worse than the previous ones.
John Brown is there. Clearly. In the sources.
November 15, 2024 at 12:13 AM
It was John Brown's kindness—his deep empathy—that led him to action. Not some fearsome, crazed extremism or love of murder. It came about through his tenderness, and all the primary sources support it. ALL if them. Even when he had prisoners he stressed kindness.
Men have warped him into an untruth
November 15, 2024 at 12:05 AM
John Brown was quiet and serious & a new generation of biographers have split from DuBois and rendered him as cross. Brows furrowed.
But that is a lie. John Brown sang to & tucked in his father every night. Carried and sang to his dying daughter. Believe the primary sources: quiet does not mean cold
November 14, 2024 at 11:57 PM
I feel like the attention on John Brown, filtered through over a decade of misshapen renderings requires me to emphasize his kindness. He was quiet. Serious. But repeatedly described as “tender.” And he sang to those he loved. It's easy to miss how often he's singing.
Take this crucial origin story:
