Slipped on the ice earlier and landed square on my knee, it’s an ugly mess. I’ve been getting up every couple hours to keep it moving and icing it. Sore is an understatement.

Satchel and waist pack ready to go, got my tomahawk attached because we are clearing out a couple new spots to set up blinds. I’ll be swapping the bottles out for my small Yeti thermos and a Nalgene water bottle in the morning. Love the waist pack, I got it at Walmart, very roomy and padded.

Getting that hunting season bag set up done. Trying to see if I could do a haversack instead of my usual backpack. Want to use my Helicon Tex bushcraft satchel for a trip and see if I feel equally equipped.

Grilled ham and cheese, a quick tomato soup I added garlic and basil to, and lemonade in the Nalgene. And yes I’m a ketchup dipper. Lunchtime!

I finally made this. And it was quite tasty and refreshing. Tomorrow I’m making one of those 1970’s jello salads with cool whip, mini marshmallows, pineapple and I think lime jello. Just because it sounds good.
