First Day Covers (FDCs) are a fascinating sub-section of philately. While much of the focus is on stamp collecting, there is more to philately than "just stamps." FDCs are specially designed envelopes commissioned for the first day of a stamp's issue.

I performed as an EIH (Emergency Interpreting Hologram) the other day. This photo was taken after the event. Lianne acted the part of the Deaf astronaut. (As part of Science week) My costume was inspired by Theopolis in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. It was fun.
