That overwhelmed feeling was shame bred by trauma, actually! Its still hard to feel my emotions and allow myself to get that excited, but... I'm getting better about letting myself have fun.

Half the time, they'll just be happy for you. I'm allowed to share that excitement with others. Even if they dont get what I'm talking about.

Anyway its like 3am thanks for reading my ted talk, my brain struggles to accept that others perceive me.

I wind up often feeling very embarrassed and downplaying my own emotions. I get shy trying to indulge. But things are different now. I'm allowed to be excited, I'm allowed to feel embarrassed but still enjoy myself. There's nothing wrong with that embarrassment in front of people who really care.

I still struggle with actually expressing how passionate or excited I am about certain things. Its so rare that I get that excited. Its always been easier to keep it to myself, just listen, not risk being told I'm too loud or talk too much or get too excited its not a big deal. Its hard to open up.
