My favorite solution for this is make two villains, one is horribly cartoonishly evil and then the one that works below him is actually genuinely sympathetic. (it’s just Darth Vader and Palpatine)

True, in my setting wizards are basically just scientist that study magic, and think they know everything but they are wrong. Magic is a primal elemental force not meant to be fully understood.

I do love letting silly things be taken fully seriously, I am toying with the idea that wizards think they can explain all magic, but actually have many things that don’t fit into their understanding.

I like this concept a lot, I am unfamiliar with it, so it’s the idea that your magic has to be hidden for your own safety as the castor? Because it whipped back at you.

Oooh I will have to check these out my friend. I’ve been thinking about doing my own mythtember, like all about in world myths and celebrations and how characters think of them.

It was good, but a little busy, I did a little drawing and a little research, but mostly took care of errands and got some good rest.

That makes a good amount of sense. Some days I feel like I’m engaging very well and then some days I’m barely in my phone lol.
Trying to to have it feel like pushing a rock up hill.
