Late middle-aged or early older guy, depending on how I'm feeling today. Factory guy when younger, transitioned to healthcare when older. Reading, writing and gaming for hobbies.
George Washington's Farewell Address.
Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.
FDR's First Inaugural Address.
JFK's "We chose to go to the moon."
Johnson's "We shall overcome."
Reagan's Brandenburg Gate Speech.
Obama accepting his first nomination.
Trump's Tweets.

One of these things is not like the others.

It's been said for years that the "entitlement" programs which help us are responsible for the deficit. But the budget with massive cuts to these programs still has a multi-trillion dollar deficit.

Maybe it's time to look at military and police spending if we want to cut the deficit.

"Don't you just hate it when someone doesn't pay their fair share, or when someone you've been subsidizing can't act the least bit grateful?" said the Party of billionaires whose main base lives in Farm Bill country.

Yet another telling sign that there's no good in a Republican is that not only are they cutting these essential programs, but they are doing absolutely nothing to change the conditions that make people need these programs in the first place.

Republicans aren't great. They're just no good.

Some advice from a private sector survivor to those currently working in government.

If you can afford it, quit immediately. Quit in numbers and quit right now. If you can't afford to quit, start looking.
If you're on contract, then quiet quit.
You have to hurt them, and hurt them now.
