It'd be great if folks would realize that the Ukrainians have been, essentially, fighting the exact "World War III" scenario that the Cold War was built on ("invasion of Europe"). They've been doing this on our behalf, with so much of their own blood and treasure lost in the effort.

...and they just ~happened~ to have a big set of cast letters ready to go, and a crew to install them, immediate after the "spontaneous" vote...which wasn't even on the meeting agenda.

Taking their eyes off the moneyball: Oracle rolled out a new support portal for the folks who use their core (actual, long-term, money-making) products and it is an unmitigated disaster. Bad UI, deliberate bug hiding, breaking 20+ years of links to documents, erased records and bookmarks. Horrible.

If their goal is to finish nailing the coffin lid on the US foreign tourism industry, this is a super great way to do that?
You would think Big Airlines, Big Destinations (FL, for example), Big Hotels, etc. would be lobbying hard against this.
Or, you know, just straight-up bribing them not to.

Exactly my point. It isn't that the Netflix deal is somehow fantastic, far from it. Instead, it's that a Paramount deal would be so, so much worse.

I get the SAG/DGA/etc. concerns/objections to the Netflix deal; I'd prefer an independent WB as well. However, WB put itself up for sale, so that's not an option unless they (SAG/DGA, etc.) want to band together like the original United Artists for a buyout. Netflix is at least better than Skydance.

Perhaps he’s too stupid/drunk/unqualified to realize that if he “stands by his combat decisions” then he’s admitting publicly, to the whole world that 1) it did happen as described and 2) he’s complicit in the action?

Indeed it is, and those bright, well-organized gals were a real leadership backbone for many advanced Scouting activities like NYLT, etc. I'm just glad Scouting finally listened to parents who kept saying "Gee it'd be great if our girls could start with this kind of program sooner...." for so long.

Scout parents, in my experience, tend to lean right...to put it politely. They vote, every single election, top to bottom of the ballot, and take their kids with them because voting is a Civic Duty. Is this a group of folks the Great Leader wants to thoroughly piss off, for no good reason? (4/4)
