At least he finally had an answer he could work with. The scribe allowed his shoulders to relax in response.

"Right. I'll leave you to it then."

"You're free to use the bath. I'll be in the lounge if you need anything." Probably not, but he left the offer anyways, moving on to resume his plans for the evening.

"Alright then..." Alhaitham spoke slowly, placing his keys in the tray.

While he was suspicious of whether the staining was paint or not, given Kaveh's reaction, he decided it would be best not to push the architect. He already seemed distressed enough.

"I didn't know loud mumbling was a part of drawing." Alhaitham responded, his tone laced with sarcasm.

His eyes flicked downwards to see the bundles of crumpled parchment haphazardly thrown across the floor. He could tell Kaveh had been at this for a while.

giving it a knock to announce his arrival before standing in the doorway with a displeased look.

"Do you mind? I'd like to spend my night in peace."

some instance of noise or complaint could be heard from the room next door, breaking his focus. Alhaitham released an irritated sigh after having read the same paragraph twice now. There was no way he could study like this.

He lifted up from his chair to approach Kaveh's room,

Resting with his back against the armrest, book in hand, he listened to the harmonious hum of music playing through his headphones. He scanned through the words printed in ink, pinching the corner of the paper in preparation to flick to the next page.

Each time he made his way through a sentence,

Alhaitham rolled his eyes at the comment, collecting his book from the counter as he made his way to the doorway.

"At least it's useful." He stated, matter-of-factly, as he stepped out of the kitchen. "See you."

"Alright." Alhaitham spoke nonchalantly, finishing the rest of his food and closing over his book after he had made some progress.

He brought his dish to the sink, giving it a quick wash before setting it aside.

"I'll be off then."

"Mhm." He hummed in response, partially absorbed in his book. He flicked through the pages in search of the bookmark that sat in-between chapters, deciding it was worth reaching the next while he enjoyed his breakfast.

"You could. It is a pretty nice day though."

"It's 8 AM..." Alhaitham pointed out, taking another bite of his toast and reaching out to one of his novels he had left behind since last night.

After finishing one piece out of the three, Alhaitham tilted his head at Kaveh's grand display. To say it was typical reaction of his roommate would be an understatement.

"There's nothing wrong with the heel. If it bothers you so much, I'll have it instead."

"Um," He paused between a bite, peering over at the packaging which sat on the counter, "There's heels."

As Kaveh joined the kitchen, Alhaitham relocated to the island so he could eat.

"By the way, there's not much in the kitchen. I'll be heading out so I can pick up some groceries." He mentioned.

Ding. The toaster chimed as two pieces of toast jumped out, awaiting to be collected and placed upon a plate.

A crease formed between his brows as he peered into the pantry. Seems like some grocery shopping was needed. Butter would suffice, as Alhaitham spread it across the bread.

"Suit yourself." Alhaitham returned a shrug, leading off into the kitchen to prepare some breakfast for himself.

With such a bright day, he figured it would be worth spending his time outside.

"The alcohol might have affected you differently since your metabolism has changed. I still think you get carried away at times, but it's worth considering, I suppose."

Alhaitham resumed with sipping his coffee.

"I noticed." He replied, drawing his attention to the window. Admiring the way the golden light ebbed and flowed through the ornate panes, taking that moment to ponder to himself about his plans for the day.

Amidst his musings, the scribe spoke up.
