This was the end of a discussion about the handmaidens tale protest with signs about fascism. Some signs were weak - stuff that non-fascist governments have done. But the key point was that many were exclusive to fascism, the most notable being the use of the military against citizens.

A Space Odyssey. Now, I’m a huge fan of the 1984 computer game Elite, by David Braben and Ian Bell. I’m willing to bet this illustration influenced the space-station design - used in the docking sequence.

Looking at old vinyl and saw this cover of the 1968 release of 2001

When I was a kid in the UK in the 70s, my favourite toy was Action Man, known as GI Joe in the USA/Canada.
I was showing my son one on eBay and they had the instructions… I misread this one, and couldn’t stop giggling.
Can’t unsee it now. Action Man ruined.
