Hi ari, earthquake alerts are critical emergency alerts such that they go through do-not-disturb/silent settings. Alerts will have audio telling you to "Drop, Cover, and Hold On". If you felt the earthquake and didn't get an alert, you might have been outside the alerting region/MMI 3 contour

Hi Mike, alerts are critical and high priority such that they punch through silent mode and do-not-disturb. Your location (or last transmitted location) might have been outside of the alerting area which is the MMI 3 zone in the attached image. Contact us at myshake-info@berkeley.edu if not.

Good day, MyShakers. Residents near Orcas, WA may have felt the 4.5 magnitude earthquake at 5:02 AM today. MyShake sent an alert to users in the affected area (see map).

Hello everybody, seems it is Nevada's turn to rumble. A M5.5 #earthquake occurred today at 3:08pm near Yerington, NV. MyShake successfully distributed an alert to our users in CA. Please see below, the map showing the expected shaking area and the area in CA that was alerted.
