Ya, if you want to one-shot kill a player, Daggerheart intentionally guardrails that, it takes minimum two hits to drop a PC. even at low level.
It's your call on if that's a good thing or bad thing with your group..

SRD is available free too. for a pre-read.. but the actual rules book does a better job of communicating the vibe of the game and where it diverges from D&D.
IMHO, it has just enough D&D crunch, while fixing all the most glaring issues i have with 5e. Im a fan.

In a Vacuum, the red says Fear to me, but no Duality Die can be judged without its mate. Maybe its partner has Dark Numbers and a somber tone.. Maybe its companion is Bright Blue with Gold Font?
A D12 is not a duality die on its lonely own...

I strongly agree with the original post. Our current table, is effectively playing D&D, only with Daggerheart characters and dice rolls... We are not taking advantage of the system differences.
Tho i disagree with the init concerns. In practice, no table yet i've been in has had hogging issues.

Seriously with the amount of effort being put into videos, articles and posts on guessing the price of this thing that we will all find out soon enough anyway... the over/under in Vegas on this number must be HUGE

Read this today. A lot of fun & usable stuff in here, very cool. Solid supplement to browse and pick from.. Ton of content for a very good price.

I checked it out, very cool how it builds on the core game with the new corruption mechanics and corresponding abilities... Very much looking forward to the full release

Despite the intended usage. These are PC's, not consoles. and will be priced as such. Consoles are subsidized by game sales. Consoles are basically loss leaders for game sales. They stated they will be priced as PC's.

I use GM for everything else, (like shadowrun/shadowdark, etc), But we still use DM for our Daggerheart game... We have accepted Dagger Master as an official title.. 😆

my suggestion, have you or your GM look at the 'additional sheets' downloads at Darrington Press. Specifically the char creation guide page, and player guide page. thats all you need assuming your table has one core set for the cards. hope thats helpful

Completely agree, Ive run all my foundry games with a grid to date, but when we switched to dagger heart, we found grid off and free movement worked much better for that system

/agree, this is stronger than every other community.. unlimited healing plus effectively an armor upgrade, If this existed in game, i would never choose anything else.

not missing anything as far as i can see. I assume they arent for GM's, but for the Seraph who wants a 'Reassurance' card after seeing the parties knowledge wizard totally f up the encounter with it...😜
