I hope you have Dual Shock 3 with working Sixaxis if you plan to play KZ2 on PS3. :p
I own the whole trilogy on disc but my disc for 1 is damaged and 2 requires motion controls and I don't have a working Dual Shock 3 anymore so I had to emulate it and use the Dual Sense for motion segments.

KZ2 was one of my first PS3 games and I played the online MP to death back in the day.
Same for KZ3 when it came out and Shadows Fall was bundled with my PS4.
I really wish Guerilla return to the franchise one day.

Great review! I can definitely see where you are coming from with your criticisms.
I should add I played it on the RPCS3 emulator with unlocked framerate and also used lossless scaling frame generation for more fps. It does introduce some input lag but it helps my PC to handle the game better.

Haha, it definitely has its flaws but I had fun with it. I literally skipped all the cutscenes though, had no interest in story.
I’m already like 70-80% done with 2. (It was one of my favourite games on PS3). I liked the sluggish controls back then, not so much now :p

Haha, it definitely has its flaws but I had fun with it. I literally skipped all the cutscenes though, had no interest in story.

Pretty much the same order I do it in every time as well. Sometimes I change Gerudo and Goron around. 😁

I installed it earlier and played the first hour or so. You’re 100% correct, I instantly like it. 😁I’m still new to Metroidvania but I really like the vibe of this game and the combat is very satisfying.
