It IS devastating and my heart goes out to you. What a magnificent dog. I've been fortunate to have had two in my life. They are gone now, but never, ever forgotten.

What a beautiful boy! He reminds me very much of my sweet Pyrenees, Monty (RIP). Such nobility these dogs have.

He is so beautiful. I adopted a big orange longhair like him years ago. He was such a sweet boy. I had him for sixteen wonderful years. I still miss him every day. I hope this lovely fellow can be reunited with his family. I'd take him in a heartbeat if he needs a home.

I don't think they are dim, I think tend to be very docile. My Penn Vet-trained doc told me that in all his years of experience, orange male cats had the sweetest dispositions. I had an orange Maine Coon mix who was the most relaxed and sweet cat imaginable.
