I do a little YouTube videos,, often on Servers, Storage Enterprise stuff, Home IT, Solar House improvement and so on..
Later today I am looking at the PECRON E600 LFP power station. I could not say it in the video because me family watches my videos. But I bought two of these for my family for Christmas 🎅,, with how things look, it seems wise to have a little power if the grid goes unstable 🤔 PECRON is very priced.

Very fun to try🤗

I bought over 200 DELL R7725 servers for work they won prizes wise over HPE DL385 G11 and Lenovo SR665 v3,,, now I have to live with that purchase for at least five years,, or early retirement, which suddenly sounds good🤔

Either this is proof that @Lenovo servers are very sexy, or it’s proof that @youtube is very incompetent.

🙂 This is like your X comming back after she tried to hook up with a richer guy,, not saying not to to get in bed with her, but don't let your credit card be laying around.

Later today, I have a video on upgrading two Lenovo ThinkCentre M920X’s,, more RAM, better CPU, more Storage and a PCIe riser for future features,, dreaming of ProxMox cluster with GPU power 🥰

I am at a putter party this weekend,, someone brought this tiny rack,, all 3D printed,, I thought it was so cool 😎
This person watches me video,, and had a “shot-ton” of tiny Lenovo’s for me and my tiny bunker project 🤗

I made quite an investment in battery storage for my house.
I collaborated with Wattcycle in a previous video, and found that there batteries fitted extremely well for what I wanted to do. And they are also not badly priced.. Not sponsored but here is the link: eu.wattcycle.com/collections/...

Ran into a bit of an issue at work.. We are modernizing a 20year old datacenter by doing 1/2 at a time. So a dust wall goes through half of the data center, but it was put to close to this HPE D8000 DAS to be able to replace a disk. Ended up having to cut a hole and tape it back together afterwards.

This turned out to be an awful investment,, 🤨 New price was like €1600 I used them from 15 October to 1 December, and now hoping to get €1100 -ish for them. 😳 Not the best way to get rich 🤗

Server Porn!! Just look at that A$$ 🥹
A fully loaded DELL EMC PowerVault ME5082 with 82 24TB SAS drives ( 2 petabytes),, and on top, to do all the work,, fourth and back and fourth and back,, a hot young DELL PowerEdge R7625 😬

I am working with WattCycle to showcase two of their 24V 100A LiFePO4 batteries 🤗 So today I have increased my house from 5120Wh to 10,240Wh of battery capacity. Plus these batteries fit way better on my battery shelf,, then previous brand 😬

Ohh how quickly things can change 😳 my HPE contact, has for the longest time warmed us about buying Lenovo,, unstable, China bla bla.. They have never threatened to invade. America products can very quickly lose a lot of trust,, and trust is earned not bought. 🤔

I have migrated my virtual video editing server from VMware ESXi to Proxmox🤗 interested of running on a big enterprise rack server, it is now running on a TerraMaster F8 SSD NAS,, size of a lunchbox but with Proxmox 😬 take 3 times as long,, as the CPU is 1/3 the speed,, but way more power efficient!

I am very impressed with this little battery balancer/equalizer🤔 it’s a rather rare one, as it is for two 24volt batteries and not 12V as is normal. Batteries are low right now. But when I connected it, one was at 23,13v other 23,98v 5 minutes later, it’s very close to being done 🤗

This was kind of cool,, shopping mall, Castelo Branco, Portugal 🇵🇹
I do like little models 🤔

I have just returned from Hell,, your reservation is ready for you😉

I have had a bit of internet trouble here in Portugal the last few days. Battery keeps cutting off,, plenty of power on it. When I kick it back on, it’s on like 13,5V.
Well I have used the excuse to replace the change control,, well twice,, in tomorrow video, you see one. Pic from next video 😬
December 19, 2024 at 11:17 PM
The other day power prices peeked at €1,4/KWh,,, I was very happy to be able to run on battery though the most expensive times 😬 I never thought of that before. Charging up when it’s cheaper, and discharging when it’s expensive. Added benefit!

As you might or might not know, I am one of the proud producers of the feature film “The Girl in the Truck“. One of the other involved in the project, though it fun to make a VHS 📼 version 😬 remastered from 4K 16:9 to 4:3 PAL Totally crazy, but also fun and cool 😎
December 12, 2024 at 1:22 PM
Yes this CR3025 tiny button battery came in this box!
“Lenovo” that is really a waste of resources ☹️ Do better!

Last week there were a screening of “The Girl in the Trunk” in Copenhagen, a film I produced. I invited some patrons that regularly hangs out on discord with me. It was really cool to meet them 🤗

This is a big IBM Power AIX Server. If anyone wants to know, the top two power connectors should go to the A side and the two bottom power connectors should go to the B side. if you want redundancy. Found that out the hard way 🙄
