1st pic: Customer dropped off a vase to give as a b-day gift.

2nd pic: this vase was left on our swap cart. I've been wanting to use it for some time, but it called for delicate colors, which we finally had on hand. My sister says it looks like a Great Gatsby vase.

Pipsqueak, my Mini Cooper, went for her annual inspection yesterday; she passed, no problem.
While the tech was checking her out, I got to play with the shop dogs. This was the only pic I took, and I'm sorry I didn't get one of the 2 dogs grinning, but I was busy enjoying the moment.

I don't know exactly what year this was taken, but it's the wedding photo of my Uncle Don & his wife Ouina. Late 1940s or early 50s, maybe? More info in Alt.
An old sepia photo with age blotches on it of 5 people, the 3 men dressed in their best suits and the 2 women are in a suit dress, and a lovely dark colored dress. From Left to Right: the bride's brother, my grandmother, her brother Donald who is the Groom, his now-wife Ouina, and her other brother. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of her brothers. The men look dapper, dressed in their very best, and are happily smiling; they each have a carnation pinned. Aunt Ouina- a petite woman- has a massive orchid corsage on her shoulder, orchids in her hair, and a beautiful bouquet with many trailing ribbons.

Here's the recipe; it needs to simmer much longer than 10 minutes, in my opinion.
Any small pasta will work if you don't have ditalini; don't store it with the fagoli, though, since it'll soak up all the liquid.

An old edition of Tom Sawyer; I'm unable to find the publishing date, sadly, but it was produced during wartime conditions.
