I fully support the right to die, but it needs to go hand in hand with the right to life

No one should be offered death in lieu of treatment

You shouldn’t be able to access MAiD in 3 months when it takes over a year to see a specialist

You shouldn’t be told to “consider dying” when you want help

There's no reflection, no stock-taking, no hint that it was, perhaps, their responsibility to know earlier. Just powerful people making excuses and repeating each others' excuses.

Police just detained two protesters.

One dressed as the Statue of the Liberty.

Not everyone has the option to mask and power through. There are different manifestations and some people don‘t get the choice to go undiagnosed. Even if you get to chose, the price can be really high.

I would follow you for this thread alone if I wasn't already. Very useful for me as a European Catholic.

I guess it's about time to roll out my mammoth essay about Elon Musk again.

Like other rich autistic arseholes, it's NOT the autism that makes him an awful person, but it does help explain some of the particular ways his awfulness manifests.

Genetics most likely didn't, but diagnostic criteria and the labels used did change _a lot_
