Square Enix tries to differentiate itself from its contemporary companies by its hatred of making money and giving its fans what they want.
It's going to need a few more Dissidias in the gulag before it can step up to Capcom or Bamco there though.

It also should be noted that the content added was given to JP switch 1 owners as a cheap payed dlc over half a year ago. Those who are desperate for it, probably already have it.
Right now there's no confirmation that such an option will be available in the west.

I think media ought to be reallllly good or reallllly bad. I don't think this fella will hit the highs the series deserves or the lows the series has seen, so I have to agree I don't want him touching this.

BBAM's biggest issue was that it was a straight adaptation of a story better told through the game's vn. Adaptations cannot be 1 to 1 like that, and so while this idiot might wander off and do his own thing, I actually don't know if it CAN be as bad as AM... For me that is the worst outcome.

A big problem with AM was of course the memetically bad animation (except for the Noel transformation sequence tellingly) I'd expect a BB project to not be given the kinda budget a DMC project would be so I could imagine that being equivalent or worse.

I could also argue that Ragna should be swearing like a sailor.
Hamfisted political sentiment wouldn't necessarily be out of place considering BB's world, but I don't necessarily expect a Trump inauguration attendee to do that justice.

From this I can understand that it wouldn't be good, but worse than BBAM is a benchmark that's hard to hit...
They tried to introduce the full cast of characters, and weren't really able to properly characterize anyone (yet still managed to mischaracterize Tager of all characters.)

I didn't watch Netflix DMC. How bad was for people to KNOW it'd be worse than BBAM of all things? Everyone I see seems to be certain it would be.
