The construction isn't holy writ and only works if the Democratic institutions are made up of decent people. The USA has let its institutions get run down, let them become politicized and the Republicans have put their own personal interests over those of the Nation.

On fixture congestion/player fatigue, the issue affects maybe 5% of clubs and players, at the highest, and richest. As such isn't only a problem for club and national team with them most resources to deal with the issue and is one of the few things that helps to level a very tilted playing field.
