Yes, but you can't skip the boss intros and text prompts that follow the cutscenes. And on the final boss, you CAN'T skip the mid cutscenes in between the phases. Sure, they're not that long, but when it takes a few attempts to learn the patterns, it's extremely tedious & annoying to sit through.
