I saw streamers becoming a thing a decade ago and went "What? Why in the name of all that's holy would I want to watch somebody else play a video game I could just be playing myself?"
And at no point throughout the years has my periodic re-examining of that conclusion changed my mind on it.

I just really really hope the sales pan out, I was still devastated when I finished Deadfire and went “this is one of the best games I’ve played in twenty years of playing video games” and then found out it did not actually do well!

Yeah losing the other godlike definitely hurts but I’m loving the story they’ve been telling with the set godlike type we play as so far

Not to double comment or anything but it also just popped back into my memory that it can also activate those lightning mechanisms that open doors and puzzles and stuff, it’s sooooo handy for exploration on that basis

I’ve been bouncing up and down in my seat eagerly awaiting this game since I played both pillars games (finally got into them properly, because of you posting incessantly about them I might add)
I am beyond excited, haven’t been this ready for a game in quite a while.

I’m strongly opposed to the existence of this “hold the real release date for random behind the special edition” crap
However, for Avowed specifically, I am a helpless and weak consumer, with a spine that is wobbly and made of gelatin, and I have taken off work for the game next week

I feel like I’m going insane sometimes, over the years it’s increasingly the case that any time I mention this I get increasing amounts of incomprehension or not caring from people, and even people looking at me like I’m crazy.

Personally I’m hoping that once they get around to it, Bluesky will be able t manage the Herculean engineering feat of letting you save a damn gif.
I understand how challenging this can be, given that only every single website ever made has managed it, but it’s worth a shot IMO
