I created three test schedules:
1. Apply Patch Wednesday updates, deferred 3 days, no automatic reboot.
2. Apply Patch Wednesday updates, deferred 3 days, with automatic reboot.
3. Apply definition updates every 6 hours, no reboot (because it isn't needed).

And even when most of the above isn't in place, the Provisioning Agent itself appears to install and run fine, the corresponding TraceWizard logs for the Agent show no errors at all and plenty of indication that it is working... and it shows as active in Cloud Sync as an Agent as well.

Okay, starting from scratch:
- Deleted configuration
- New Entra->AD Config (domain/agent is available)
- New empty test group added, everything else default
- Tried "Provision on Demand" again... timeout
- Tried "Review and enable"... success/healthy
- After a while... timeout/quarantine/disabled

Weird thing is, the timeout error occurs when attempting to validate the Provision on Demand and doesn't seem to make it very far. After 60 seconds, it errors and doesn't even put anything in the Provisionin logs for me to review. It just... doesn't work for some reason.

I have to be missing something regarding this Entra Cloud Sync (Provisioning Agent) timeout error when trying to test the synchronisation of Entra groups back to AD. Right now, the "Provision on Demand" (Test Provisioning) fails in about 60 seconds for any group, even newly created with no users...

Part 4: I opened a support ticket in late 2024, and after having zero response for nearly 2 months, made a new one in January. These are now merged, but I've been getting absolutely nowhere with the technical advisor. They even gave me this doozy of a reply:

Part 3: I finally got everything in place - low risk maintenance period, change approved - where I could upgrade Connect Sync (using v2.4.27.0) and install the Provisioning Agent (using v1.1.1586.0) and give it a shot. Unfortunately, I'm getting nothing but timeout errors, even for empty groups.

Completed my first 72-arrow 20m scored club shoot with my new recurve bow. That's not only a lot more arrows than I've shot before, but also the first score with my own gear (over 10 pounds heavier draw than the club bow). Got tired/sloppy by the end, but very happy with a 600.

I don't live it when an impactful, well-tested policy applies and works... then all of a sudden doesn't. Last year, all our new devices rolled out with the Intune Endpoint Security BitLocker config and it was successful, but nothing since has worked...

Yep. Error 13631495 is the one. Shut down the server, go check the BIOS/VM settings, look for VBS, enable it then try again. The Virtualisation Platform is only partially installed with WSL it seems.

Phew! Today was a windy one! And yes, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, haha. The constant 26km/h (16mph) crosswind, with gusts even higher, was pretty rough... especially for a beginner (like I am). The final end was pretty nice, though! I can't wait to get my own bow and arrows.

It's super frustrating that the sysprep issue still exists for when Microsoft Store apps are uninstalled, updated, etc. It's bad enough that Microsoft pre-loads all this bloat, but causing an image capture failure if anything even thinks about touching the APPX package? Eesh!

The Nikko Stirling Hornet ED 10-50x60 is an absolute unit of an optic. So glad I found one. Yes, it bumps me into the higher class due to magnification (if I go above the 16x setting), but I can actually see the X ring now... without wearing glasses... and that's just awesome!

Merry Christmas to those that celebrate it, and happy holidays for those that don't. May your computer/console be free of crashes, your controller free of crumbs or drift, your gaming library vast, your scores high & your internet lag-free. Have a great day (if you can).

Just read your previous link. Yeah, both Company Portal *AND* Apple App Store are disabled and/or not supported. So there goes "available" apps. You'll be deploying VPP&purchased apps, as device-based, required apps only. That's a bit of an oof

Most road bikes tend to have two chainrings up front... and you exclude them from the "speed" naming. For example a new Shimano Tiagra/Deore cassette is a 10-speed, so has 10 rings... ignore the fact the front rings make it 20 in total. But then there's the gearing ranges too...

I don't consider myself "one of those people"... but I really like my mechanical keyboards. I reaaaally like the click of my blue switches. Okay, I might be one of those people after all.
