Doctors are NOT practising illegally because of the APC 2026 delay.
If you applied and paid by 31 Dec 2025, your practising status and indemnity remain valid from 1 Jan 2026.
No enforcement action.
This is an MMC systems failure, not a doctors’ fault.

APC 2026 delays mean doctors left technically unlicensed to practise, through no fault of their own. This is not a minor admin glitch. This is patient safety, workforce morale, and system credibility on the line. MMC needs to buck up. 🩺

Removing special allowances from doctors serving Sabah & Sarawak is not “cost cutting.” It risks demoralising frontline staff, worsening retention, and weakening already stretched services. If we want equitable healthcare, we need fair incentives, not penalties.

Doctors are already avoiding East Malaysia due to staffing strain. Slashing BIW allowances to RM360 will only make care worse and hurt patients. Reconsider policies that punish those willing to serve where they’re needed most.

Lifestyle strategies matter: sleep, exercise, diet, social connection, screen time. They are cheap, scalable, and evidence-based.

Malaysia still treats children’s dental health as optional. Caries is preventable, but prevention needs parents, schools, water fluoridation, and early dental visits. Fillings are expensive. Prevention is cheap. 🦷

730 contract pharmacists. Expiring contracts. Zero clarity.
Train them for years, then park them in “reserve” limbo while hospitals stay understaffed. This is not workforce planning. It is waste.
Extend contracts or absorb them permanently.
