Something about it feels less… vivacious(?)

But ☝🏾 it does feel smoother and less buggy than X does.

That’s is also classic RJ. What a fun player 😅 but actually, his game is fun.

You're willing to overlook *ALOT*.

How does this get to $10M? She essentially just wrote something down essential on a digital napkin and you're like. “Ahh must be right” 😭

No bro..just no. If I'm being difficult my apologies but these are basic questions and examples that warrant further scrutiny

$200M on 10,000 seat stadium and facilties is just an *insane* amount of money.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with sports business. Im pretty familiar.

This would be, by far, the most expensive 10,000 sporting venue I know of.

and the most expensive HS stadium ever. Period.

*was built for $125M.

MAJOR renovations to an existing was done for $62M

UMass Amherst renovated its 17,000 seat stadium in 2012-2013 for $30M ($40M In today's money).

Uts a blank check when we

A) never saw the initial costs

B) some of these costs are OUTRAGEOUSLY bloated. Again it can't cost $10M for a track and turf

C) if this thing goes to $300M were still gonna pay $150M

A 47,000 seat college football stadium was built in 2019 for $62 million

I also think saying it was this ‘or nothing’ was genuinely alarming and dissappointing and perhaps should've been worded better on your part. Sounded like it stemmed from frustration.

I support you as mayor though and am happy youve found a space on bluesky where you wont be virtually harassed.

I appreciate your response.

For years I wondered if white stadium was abandoned. In 7th grade I found out it wasnt and I internalized the message the city was sending to us youth.

nice its being renovated but It stings that it took an outside group to even get consideration.
December 20, 2024 at 2:39 PM
There is now possible reasonable way it should cost koste than $3M for a new turf and track just for starters:

there's SO much ridiculousness in those figures!!

I've seen FBS college football stadium renovated for a fraction of the cost in RECENT years
December 20, 2024 at 2:26 AM
I don’t know how to explain this sinply, but it doesn’t cost $200 million to renovate white stadium and get it in an acceptable shape

There’s no need for a beer garden. There’s no need for a grove just focus on Maintenance that you can actually pay for yourself, because when the soccer team folds…

Dawg— that's a real conversation though

She's a career politician not Santa Claus. If u don't see politics that's not even logical. if you dont see race that's just convenient for u.

As I said, I wont do the play dumb or whatever it is u call this type of willful ignorance. So ill leave it here 2.
December 20, 2024 at 1:03 AM
She doesn't want the team to go to Everett.

Especially not after she probably tried to slow down Krafts stadium over there.

And she wants political favors in the future from the ownership group.

There's other reasons too but those are probably her primary motivators.
December 20, 2024 at 12:57 AM
just think about it

if it’s as politically unpopular as you and I perceive it to be then why is she pushing through with it?

When I don’t even see BPSathletes and families coming out in support of this.
December 20, 2024 at 12:56 AM
Mind you- I voted for her and probably will again. But she's dead wrong right now.
December 20, 2024 at 12:51 AM
Okay okay if we're gonna dumb, brother, im out.

You know the names behind BOS NATION and the stadium and if you *really* dont then you should go learn them.

I'm hoping you don't. Because there's is no legit reason to shill for her like this if you're actually informed.
December 20, 2024 at 12:51 AM
The fact that it was all or nothing with her from the start…

goes to show you she didn’t even CONSIDER any way to not forfeit public city land to deep-pocketed suburban woman.

That’s just the reality. The tax thing blew up in her face so she needs this “win” politically

you know all of this 🙄
December 20, 2024 at 12:43 AM
You know the deal:

she wouldn’t JUST reno white stadium for the kids/community.

She’s gung ho because there’s wealthy women who are tied to the boston globe/business and politics. Ppl with whom she feels she needs to curry favor and deliver on this project .

I’m not lying, let’s not be obtuse.
December 20, 2024 at 12:42 AM
Lmao bro stop.

Yes old Boston hates her. Yes Wu cares about minorities.

But give me a break. She was ready to move the OBryant to Westie!

She wil shove bike lanes and other unpopular things in my community down our throats

AND is willing to kill ANY renovations if it can’t be done her way. Lvls.
December 20, 2024 at 12:40 AM
It hasn’t been anyone objective for the same reason it was never mayor wus objective— people do not care about poor non tax paying (black) kids.

Mayor Wu wasn’t gonna spend $1 on white stadium until she realized she could score political point w/o the lift. Now she has $91M….😭 bffr…
