The characters are very diverse and inspired on Mexican folk culture and in surreal artist Remedios Varo (look her up!) It's a visual treat. The public was very supportive of the release too. Soy Frankelda is an imperfect masterpiece and I can't wait to watch it again.

unlady like. It's pretty obvious her character is a reference to Mary Shelley. The animation is not the best. It doesn't hold a candle to Laika or other big stopmo movies but there is so much passion behind the project you can feel and see it. The plot is simple but the score is FANTASTIC.

Soy Frankelda (2025)

From my movie event Frankelstein.
Mexico's first stop-motion animated movie. Story wise, It reminded me so much of Neverending story but it also tackles the difficulties of being a female author in a male dominated field, ESPECIALLY because Frankelda writes HORROR. And that's

I'd like to add that nothing ruins a movie experience more than a book purist. So if you expect a 1:1 book to film adaptation, it's not for you. Watch this with unclouded eyes. It's INSPIRED on the book not ADAPTED from the book. I believe it's different.

Frankenstein (2025)

I put my own cinema event and watched the Frankelstein. Both Frankelda and Frankenstein. It was the best EVER.

I LOVED every minute of it. The visuals, the narrative, Mia Go(d)th. Thank you Guillermo del Toro now do Carmilla.

🎃Monster House (2006)

My favorite movie to watch on Halloween. Honestly I lost count on how many movies I actually watched during October. But whatever, I'm always down to watch Monster House. Its animation is so uncanny yet so unique, kids behaving like actual kids, great plot twist. I love it.

🎃Child's Play Trilogy (1988-1991)

A Classic! I rewatched this for ol' times sake. They're SO CAMPY BUT SO GOOD. So wacky and silly and terrifying too. Chucky is a very charismatic killer no wonder he landed a hottie and had a kid.

🎃My Bloody Valentine (2009)

2009 was a simple time when 3D movies where trending. Most didn't age well and this is one of those. It was meh. Plot was meh. Characters were meh EVEN for a slasher. Also the first time I've seen the guy from Supernatural talk. I only knew him from memes and gifs lol

🎃The Borderlands (2013) aka Final Prayer

One of the BEST found footage movies I've seen. Budget is like $5, sure. But the movie is amazing. It's kinda slow burn but it descends into insanity pretty quickly and BOI, the last 20 minutes are WILD. Truly one of the most horrifying endings I've seen.

🎃 The Watchers (2024)

I really liked this one. I thought it was going full creature feature horror but no, boom! Dark Fantasy/Folk horror. It has interesting lore and I'd like to read the novel.

🎃Re/Member (2022)
Prolly the most okay-ish movie from my Halloween list. I'm not that big on Japanese horror movies, so yeah. Not my jam. I thought it was going for a Corpse Party vibe but it was rushed and uninteresting and totally not for me.

You may like it if you're 16 and like anime/manga.
